At 9.30 am, there will be a quick joint warm-up by VOCES8 and The King’s Singers in the PHIL’s Small Hall. before getting down to business around 10 o’clock with singers from either VOCES8 or The King’s Singers.
NB: you order your passe-partout for one of these two master classes.
After the lunch break, you will continue your master class and prepare to take the stage for a short presentation concert around 3 pm. Be sure to invite your family & friends to hear what you have learned!
At 4 pm the second workshop of the day by Vocal Group Twelve will start. Afterwards, around 7pm, there will be an opportunity to join in a sing along led by Tijs Krammer.

The King’s Singers
Who has never heard of this world famous group, a legend amongst a cappella ensembles? The King’s Singers has been touring and performing for decades; the current ensemble has a golden reputation for the most innovatiev and suprising programmes. Whatever the theme, The King’s Singersswitch effortlessly from classical to jazz or pop, and from early to contemporary music. Mind blowing quality, unrivalled close-harmony laced with unadulterated British humour. And they have been doing so for over fifty years, with ever new voices and always a lot of fun.
VOCES8
This outstanding young British vocal ensemble needs no introduction. VOCES8 has featured several times at The Big Sing and is an absolute icon in the a cappella world. With an extensive repertoire, great musical expression and their widely known expertise as workshop leaders, VOCES8 is an inspiration for singers and audiences alike.
Vocal Group Twelve
Vocal Group Twelve won the Dutch BALK TOP Festival in 2022 and consists of (semi-)professional singers with a passion for a cappella light music. Most of the songs are arranged by the singers and Twelve’s musical director themselves. They sing mostly in six voices, supported where necessary with vocal percussion (by Twelve’s own singers).
Tijs Krammer
Renowned conductor, trainer and arranger Tijs Krammer leads Vocal Group Twelve, among other ensembles. With his background in light music, jazz and choral conducting, combined with his experience in conducting various vocal groups, he knows how to get the best out of singers.
