Ever since the beginning of The Big Sing (formerly Choral Biennale), the festival has offered workshops and master classes for enthusiastic amateur singers. So too in 2025! Three days of workshops, crammed with sing-alongs, master classes, final presentations and concerts in various genres, such as classical, gospel, musical and pop. The Big Sing Summerschool comes in 2025 with even more opportunities to sing, learn and, above all, enjoy.
On Fri 4, Sat 5 and Sun 6 July 2025, you have the chance to sing with international names. Immerse yourself in these six master classes/workshops of unprecedented level led by the world’s top a cappella singers. The Big Sing Summer School is ‘the place to be’ this summer. 10.00-15.00 Masterclass by VOCES 8 (SOLD OUT) or by The Kings Singers with final presentation
UPDATE: you can only order a passe-partout for the masterclass with The Kings Singers.
16.00-18.00 Workshop by Vocal Group Twelve with sing along conducted by Tijs Krammer
Sat 5 July
10.00-12.00 You have a choice of three workshops in the morning:
– Kings Return (USA) (soul & gospel)
– Merel Martens & Peder Karlsson (pop)
– Zo! Gospel Academy (gospel)
14:00-16:00 You have a choice of two workshops in the afternoon:
– Merel Martens & Peder Karlsson
– Zo! Gospel Academy
Sun 6 July
10.15-12.15 You have a choice of two workshops:
– singers Hera and Maze led by Hans Cassa (pop)
– Kings Return (soul & gospel)
Afterwards, there will be a final presentation of these two workshops.
14:00-15:45 Workshop Vocal Painting Opera by composer Sean Doherty and with choir leader Merel Martens
NB: when ordering your passe-partout, places for the the Saturday and Sunday workshops will be allocated in February when the content of these programmes has been finalised.
