OFFER is a fully staged, collaborative music theatre production by Consensus Vocalis, the progressive professional choir based in the east of the Netherlands. The Big Sing is proud to present the metropolitan premiere of their latest production.
The phone lies unlocked in her hand. Her heart pounds. She can hear the blood surging through her veins. Everything is dizzy. But it seems worth the sacrifice: a better world for everyone. The fate of millions rests in her hands. From the farmer’s wife in Ohio, the car dealer in Leipzig, to the influencer in India. Both compassion and rational thinking have brought her to this point. Can she put an end to dishonesty and lies? She has tried every which way. This is the only one left. But is it really the right choice?
OFFER is a music theatre production about the appeal of radicalism. Composer Lucas Wiegerink, writer Sophie Kassies, stage director Annechien Koerselman and the 12-voice choir of Consensus Vocalis tell the story of a young woman, her lover, their followers and their fight for a better world. But how far will you go for your ideals? How good do you have to be to not be wrong? And what happens when the line between good and evil starts to blur? Together we explore the dimensions of radicalism and the extremist in each of us.
