The Flemish a cappella ensemble MISST consists of four MISSes and one MISSter. Their repertoire features five-part arrangements of forgotten folk songs from various European regions, sung in sixteen languages. They combine traditional singing with modern elements to bridge the gap between past and present.
Their debut album MISST.EU is a musical journey through Europe, featuring songs like the Icelandic Vor í Vaglaskógi and the French Sur l’eau. MISST stands out for their harmonious vocals, cultural diversity and their ability to breathe new life into old melodies. Or as they put it themselves: “you can compare us to a fine bottle of Brut Champagne, sparkling, honest, stimulating and exquisite.”
During The Big Sing, MISST will perform in an acoustic lineup!
